What to do inthe last stage
If you do not have the time or energy to walk the entire Way of St. James from Portomarin (minimum range for the archievement of the Compostelana) you can complete the last stage from the Hotel O Pino.
Besides walking the Way of St. James, many activities can be performed in the area, such as hiking, mountain bike, horseback riding or water sports in the nearby reservoir Portodemouros (where Galician and National canoeing championships take place). In this reservoir, as well as in the Ulla River, you can practice sports such as sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, rafting, kayak…
In Galicia of the thousand rivers, fishing could not be missing. O Pino is surrounded by two of the main rivers of Galicia: Tambre River and Ulla River, in addition to many other streams full of life. Tasty trout and salmon can be caught in them. We will help you to obtain the hunting licenses and hunting grounds you need. We can also get you a guide.
There are other didactic activities like beekeeping, nature and history related activities, cultural visits, stages, sport concentrations and tourist visits. Each case depends on the necessities and interests of the client, and can be adapted to him.
